Therapy

Private Pay. Individual, couple, or family (remote or in-person)

First "Intake" session (1 hour): $150.

Regular therapy session (45 minutes): $140.

Payment is expected on the day of your appointment. The office accepts payment by cash, personal check (made out to CCFT), or electronically via credit card on the Client Portal (see menu above). For your convenience and to save time in session, consider placing your credit card information on file. Sessions will be debited only after they take place.

Superbills can be compiled upon request if you would like to pursue full or partial reimbursement through your insurance. For couple or family services, superbills will only be arranged in cases where one client member has a pre-existing psychiatric diagnosis and is prepared to be the "identified" or "primary" client. Please note that you will still be responsible for each session payment our of pocket. Also, CCFT cannot guarantee what portion, if any, of your superbill will be reimbursed by your insurance.

Sliding Scale Payment Plan. This rate is calculated as 0.1% of household income. In order to be eligible for this sliding scale rate, you will need to provide a copy of your most recent pay stub or W-2 tax form. The formula for calculating the sliding scale rate is as follows: [0.001] x [annual income] = your rate per session  or [0.001] x [monthly pay x 12] = your rate per session.

Please note that the minimum fee in the sliding scale plan is $50 per session, payable at each visit.

Pro Bono Care. There will always be one slot dedicated to providing care free of charge. Please inquire about this option if you are unable to afford the standard or sliding scale rate for services.

Reduced Fee Services. As a training site for graduate trainees, we can offer access to therapy services at low--or no--cost with a master's level intern. In order to train at the Center for Collaborative Family Therapy, trainees must be enrolled in a nationally accredited program in couple and family therapy and ready to hone their skills in working with couples and families. Graduate trainees are closely supervised at every stage of treatment, from intake to discharge. (For more information about graduate interns, please see Graduate Trainees tab.)

Clinical Supervision

The hourly rate for clinical supervision is $70/hour.

Supervision is typically arranged in two-hour blocks twice a month. Payment is expected at the conclusion of each supervision meeting. The office accepts payment by cash or personal check (made out to CCFT).

Case Consultation

The hourly rate for clinical consultation is $140/hour and is arranged on a case-by case basis, schedule permitting. Payment is expected at the conclusion of each consultation.

Good Faith Estimate Notice

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a written or verbal Good Faith Estimate of the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

If Good Faith Estimates apply to you make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises. To request a Good Faith Estimate please contact Jennifer King, PhD, LMFT at (207) 489-9393.
